Time Factors is honoured to have been chosen as the sole UK representative for Damasko watches. Manufactured by true enthusiasts, these superbly crafted watches embody unique and innovative design features which place them head and shoulders above similarly priced competitors. Damasko has designed and manufactured mechanical wristwatches since 1994, let Petra and Konrad explain their philosophy in their own words.
" According to our philosophy it has always been the major goal to construct a watch with superior technical characteristics which should represent the highest standard. During long years of extensive research several dozens of patents have been granted and we feel proud that our watches, now represent a superior technical standard which is hardly to be found in the watch industry. With the main emphasis on the chronograph case and its operating elements we have taken every substantial part of the watch and we have found new ways of improving their performance with special regard to longevity.
After we have changed dozens of elements of the mechanical wristwatch and tested and patented over twenty new super-hard alloys for the case and its components, our watches now represent a technical standard which truly sets our products apart when compared to any optically related watches. This becomes clearly visible under harsh conditions. Our watches won't fail you, and that's a promise. We think that our watches should speak for themselves. Due to that, this website does not only exist for sales purposes but should provide the interested watch enthusiast with all the necessary information about the concept which stands behind our watches and patents.
Learn more about our hardened patented case material and read why our crown and pushers are so unique. On the following pages we will also discuss metallurgical aspects and give future prospects of further developments Made in Regensburg."

2All metal parts of the bezel are machined to tolerances of 1000th mm from the patented ice-hardened martensitic steel. The bezel insert is not a thin alloy sheet but a thick CNC machined part with zero tolerances. The hardened inlay is polished, deeply engraved and coated with a PVD layer. This coating cannot be compared with the cosmetic PVD layers found throughout the watch industry, Damasko uses an extra-thick 5-6 micron. Cosmetic coatings are 0.3-0.8 microns, tool coatings are 2 - 4.5 microns. The key hardness of the Damasko PVD layer is 3300 HV (Vickers). Combined with the superbly hard substrate material, this results in a truly scratch-resistant bezel.
The bi-directional bezel mechanism has three large ceramic elements which are supported by three nitrogen hardened, diamond coated springs. This system works with 100% precision whilst ensuring an ultra-smooth action with a pleasing, positive "click". The whole bezel assembly is sealed against the ingress of dust, moisture, etc with the patented VitonT gasket which is additionally coated with a wear resistant PTFE layer to ensure a minimal friction coefficient without the necessity for additional lubrication.
